State-owned UK savings bank NS&I had plans to swap its operational services provider Atos for a “multi-supplier model” under an ambitious “Rainbow Programme” of digital transformation at the £200 billion bank.
But a new £100 million contract award to IBM – one in a string of critical contracts awarded to the supplier – suggests that this particular and somewhat delayed “Rainbow” is turning a distinct shade of Big Blue.
