JPMorgan’s new global CTO Sri Shivananda joins a company in transformation

Thanks to Artificial Intelligence and $17 billion on technology spending annually, it will not be the same when he leaves.

JPMorgan has appointed eBay and PayPal veteran Sri Shivananda as the bank’s new firmwide CTO, reporting to global CIO Lori Beer – and joining a company making huge investments in disruptive Artificial Intelligence.

Sri Shivananda will start at the bank later this month. He joins an organisation set to spend $17 billion on technology in 2024 and undergoing an extensive data and infrastructure platform modernisation effort.
