Google punts $1 million towards work on Rust and C++ interoperability

Google has donated $1 million towards work on making the memory-safe language Rust interoperable with “existing legacy C++ codebases” it said.
Making a grant to the non-profit Rust Foundation, Google said it was already a large Rust user including in Android, and keen to extend support.
