DARPA selects four private partners for algorithmic analysis of "mass casualty" events
DARPA has announced private partners for its ITM programme that will deploy trustworthy AI to save lives in mass casualty events.
DARPA, American defence's "engineering alchemists" has selected five private partners to help it develop AI capabilities to support "trusted algorithmic decision-making in challenging domains" including prioritising medical triage for "mass casualty events" – whether in warzones or natural disasters.
Raytheon, Soar, Kitware, Parallax Advanced Research and CACI International. will work alongside the University of Maryland and Institute for Defense Analyses to build the foundation for DARPA's 'In the Moment' (ITM) programme.
